Cow Kid

Description:

Green, gray, black, and white are her nursery colors. This flannel quilt is made up of muted shades of these colors. Rail Fence pattern makes up the back of the baby quilt. Sixteen 10" blocks with custom designed Black Angus calves accent the front with appliqued words "Cow kid". Parents work on a ranch and you got it . . . they raise Black Angus cattle. Quilt is machine quilted and bound ind grey flannel.

Called the future mom and asked what colors she wanted in her nursery. Googled the outline of an Angus head to get the proper shape. Couldn't get the eyes right and finally settled on old buttons in my button tin. Wanted to add dangley pink tongues but thought they might rip off so carefully tucked the tongue under the front lip so calf appears to chewing a cud.
